The Whitespotted Pygmy Filefish can reach a maximum of only 3 inches, and will readily feed on frozen offerings and pellets. Despite their size, the Whitespotted Pygmy Filefish has proven to be hardy and fast growing. ORA has kept a group of the Whitespotted Pygmy Filefish in a tank with hard and soft corals, and has yet to observe the filefish nipping at the corals which suggests that they may be reef safe.
