Decorator crabs are curious creatures, they like to pick up pieces of their surrounding habitat and place them on their carapace. They do this to better blend in wqith their surroundings. Some examples of what they like to use for decorations are; sponges, zoanthids, xenia and soft coral, macro algae, snail shells.
