About the ORA Orange Spotted Rabbitfish – Captive Bred
Care Level: Easy
Temperament: Peaceful
Reef Safe: With Caution
Diet: Omnivore
Max Size: 9 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 120 Gallons
The allure of the Orange Spotted Rabbitfish comes from both its brilliant spotted pattern and effective control of nuisance algae in the home aquarium. This species can grow to 9” in length and can even do well in groups. Like most rabbitfish, Orange Spotted Rabbitfish are reef safe, very peaceful and do well with a mixture of other species. However they can defend themselves with venomous dorsal spines and quick, camouflaging color changes. Care must be taken when handling this species as their spines can easily get caught in nets and poke fingers, with a painful result.
