The Hippopus Clam is a golden with vibrant pinstripes and blue or purple dots.  Its mantle does not extend beyond its thick shell like other clams.  It is one of the larger clams and can grow to 30 inches!

It prefers to be placed on the substrate of the aquarium and will tolerate a variety of lighting conditions.
