The Royal Damsel, Pomacentrus similis, is a small, blue cross hatched damselfish with a bright yellow tail.

This damsel is often found in the tank investigating branching corals and hiding among live rock crevices.

They are generally best kept in groups of 3 in tanks of at least 20 gallons with plenty of live rock.

The Similar Damsel’s diet includes a mixture of live, frozen, and flake foods. It can be wise to add this damsel to a community tank last to avoid territorial behavior. The Similar Damsel is a great beginner fish as it is easy to care for and hardy.
