The Captive Bred Banded Multifaciatus, or Banded Pygmy-angel, are a white fish with yellow marking on their face and fins with dark black bars running vertically along the fishes body. Normally these would be a seldom seen species when wild collected and tend to do poorly when acclimating to the home reef aquarium. However with the advances in captive breeding you can now own one of these beautiful fish without the worry of disease, parasites, or lack of appetite. As with all dwarf angels they can nibble on corals however when they do it tends to be directed at a certain type of coral and they don’t usually go after everything available in the tank, make sure to keep them well fed so they have less reason to nip as well. Dwarf angels do not mix well together and should be kept to one variety per tank unless it is over 300 gallons.
