The Lobophyllia brain coral is a hardy beautiful coral that comes in many colors and textures. Ranging in colors of bright red, orange, green, gray, tan, or, brown. Brain corals are a notoriously hardy coral perfect for both veterans and beginners.

Lobophyllia will extend long stinging sweeper tentacles during the night to feed. It is advised to provide plenty of space between it and other corals.

This coral demonstrates a symbiotic relationship with zooaxnthellae algae which provides the majority of its required nutrients through photosynthesis.
