The OGA Swan Lake Damicornis can be characterized by its long thick branches and rounded tips. This coral has some great polyp extension, and the colors range from a light cream at its base to green polyps and then bright purple tips at the edge of each polyp. Damicornis corals, also called Pocillopora are one of the major reef builders next to Acropora in the wild accounting for a large portion of the reef structure making them a great choice for people looking to start their journey into SPS corals. They are quite easy to grow in comparison to Acropora corals and will even eject polyps from time to time leading to new colonies spouting up in your tank in places you’ve never even had the coral. They are tolerant of a wider range of conditions and enjoy a light broadcast feeding from time to time with fine filter feeding foods. These fantastic corals make a great addition to any reef tank.
