About the ORA Thunder Maroon Clownfish Captive-Bred
Care Level: Easy
Temperament: Aggressive
Reef Safe: Yes
Diet: Omnivore
Max Size: 6 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons
The next evolution of the Lightning Maroon family showcases the brilliant brush of white across the entire body, leaving just the fins and face with bright orange. Rather than turning gold as they age like other maroon varieties, these fish will remain white through to maturity, however the orange may dramatically darken on the females. Like all maroons though, pairing can be slightly challenging so we recommend starting with a larger individual and introducing it to a considerably smaller partner in order to limit their initial aggression.
Clownfish are reef safe and can be kept with peaceful invertebrates and corals, and most clowns will host an anemone present in the tank. Diet should include a variety of frozen and live mysis and brine shrimp as well as spirulina, marine algae, nori, and algae based foods, 2-3 times daily.
