The Red Mangrove adds character to any aquarium.  It can be watered with either fresh or salt water.  Oftentimes, aquarists keep mangroves in their sump to remove nitrates.

Mangroves require moderate lighting.  Excess salt should be wiped of the leaves regularly.  A rocky substrate should be provided so the roots and take hold.
